Meet The New RIder Kory Wilson # 1001

Kory Wilson from small town Georgia here. I am a life-long rider, ever since Santa dropped off that Honda Z50R when I was 5 years old. I bought my Honda Rebel with money that I earned washing dishes at the age of 16, and the passion has never slowed down. Now that I am 41, all that flows through my veins is motor oil and gasoline. When the weather is nice, I sometimes depart my Harley and ride the KTM Adventure bike down to the river for a nice swim.

Nature is what I love. As a Combat Veteran- I have learned that outdoors is where I belong. It doesn’t matter if it is on the porch, under the awning of the camper, or riding our super cool bicycles down a paved trail- this guy just cannot stand being cooped up indoors. The lovely and I frequent campgrounds and historic sites. We oftentimes take our Chocolate Lab, Attalla, with is. I am a Daddy to a super cool 12 year old chick that has been on the back of my bike all of her life.

As a disabled veteran, I am an advocate for my fellow veterans. I have the knowledge and the know how to help veterans to get the benefits that they have earned and I work hard for my brothers and sisters at arms. I am a Patriot Guard Rider, and I will be making the Hoka Challenge as a first time contender because I have the heart, the passion and the drive- to challenge myself to this tough challenge.

I will be raising money for Wreaths Across America while on my ride. Each December there is a day that is known as Wreaths Across America Day, and a Christmas wreath is placed at the headstone of every grave of every veteran at more than 1,600 cemeteries. You can go to their website and find a cemetery near you- it is an honor to participate in the ceremony itself.

If you would like to make a donation to continue to make this possible- Kory Wilson from small town Georgia here.
