Meet the Rider Gene Adee # 71

Gene has done all but one of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge's never looking at this as a race, always as a personal challenge that promotes the well being of others. Gene spends a lot of time riding to prepare for the challenge doing things like the 4 corners challenge. Family and friends enjoy his blogging when he has time during the event and follow his progress on the USFT.

"If you want to test your self this is something you would enjoy as a challenge, but you can't just pick and choose the rules your going to follow. If it says no speeding then NO SPEEDING." He likens cheating at the HHMC to cheating at solitaire. "Why would you do that?"

"It's going to be tough. It's a lot harder on your head then it is on your body." But Gene enjoys the challenge. Physically even at 73 yrs old Gene is ready to go, shoot this guy passed a kidney stone during the first challenge then kept on going!  Mentally staying with in your personal perimeters is key to his success. Gene enjoys riding by himself feeling much more in control of the decision making and how long you want to spend stopped. He prefers to ride out a tank of gas before refueling but for some that is to long in the saddle.  Loving the back roads, seeing the Mom and Pop gas stations and griddles, going to places you would want to spend sleeping next to the bike.

Gene doesn't want to miss out and have a regret that he didn't ride an amazing challenge but instead say "HEY I did that!"

Soldiers Best Friend is who Gene will be riding for this year.
