I am rider 1034 and a lifelong Hoosier. Like most other riders I started riding early in life on a kv 75. I am a foodie and enjoy traveling and spending time with my family . I learned about the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge at a local motorcycle dealer where Poco and a few other riders had a presentation and answered questions anyone had. I was immediately interested although I had never attempted any long distance rides. I watched the 2020 and was amazed by the miles the riders were putting down in such a short amount of time. I applied for the 2022 and I am back for the 2024. For the new riders, I know you are tired of hearing it but ride your own ride do not worry about where you are in the ranks, It is your challenge.
My charity is The Heart Beat of Hoagland Foundation, started by a high-school friend who received a heart transplant in 2021. Our aim is to provide support and resources for individuals in need of heart transplants and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. We collaborate with St. Vincent Hospital, Lutheran Hospital, and the Lutheran Health Network to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation.
