Matthew Gerry is an accountant from St. Augustine, Florida, with a passion for long-distance motorcycle endurance riding. Over the years, Matthew has continually pushed his physical and mental limits, completing major milestones such as the 2025 Iron Butt Rally, riding coast to coast, and conquering the four corners of the United States. These experiences have shaped his discipline, resilience, and appreciation for the connection between rider, machine, and the open road.
Matthew’s motivation to ride the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge deepened after following the 2024 HOKA HEY Challenge every single day. What once began as an inquiry back in 2022 became a very real calling as he watched the dedication, grit, and purpose displayed by the riders. For Matthew, the HHMC represents the ultimate test—challenging both mental and physical limits while navigating the backroads of America. Being a 2026 HOKA HEY Warrior means committing fully to efficiency, effectiveness, and perseverance while battling the elements, unforgiving terrain, and the inherent limitations of his motorcycle. In August 2026, Matthew hopes to represent determination, purpose, and unwavering focus while pursuing the personal goal of successfully finishing the challenge.
Matthew has chosen to ride in support of Mile Monsters Inc, a nonprofit founded by long-distance motorcycle endurance riders with a mission to raise awareness and funding to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a disease that primarily affects young boys. His connection to Mile Monsters Inc grew after closely following Riot’s journey during the 2024 HOKA HEY Challenge, where Riot’s tenacity and commitment to the mission left a lasting impression. The funds raised through Matthew’s ride will go directly toward supporting the boys who are the true heroes of Mile Monsters Inc, helping provide resources, awareness, and hope in the fight against DMD.
