Meet The Rider # 1061 Dan Crowley

Hi, my name is Dan Crowley aka Pecan Dan. Originally from Lynn, Mass, I have spent most of my adult life since 1981, in Charlotte North Carolina and  where I have raised a family and still pour concrete aka DanTheManConcrete.com.

I have 3 boys and one girl and 6 grandkids, And at the end of the day, I am shacking up in a camper out behind the barn with a wonderful woman and my riding passenger named Leni and our rescue dog named Bootsie.  I started riding long distances in the late 90's and had incredible riding opportunities that included touring in the UK a number of times, a little bit of Europe. All of the US 48 states multiple times,Canada and Mexico.  3 and 400 mile days soon became 6 to 800 mile days. Once I was introduced to rallying, I participated in The Cape Fear Rally, The Void, Big as Texas and others and then The Iron Butt Association rides started off with numerous SS1000 in 24s, then 1500 in 24s, SS2000, SS3000, SS5000, 48 in 10, 50cc and many others.

In the 2017 Iron Butt Rally, I finished and earned my 3 digit number on a Cagiva Gran Canyon. I have since participated in the 2019 IBR, 2 Senior Butt Rallys. Riding with Ken Andrews one year and Lionel Ramos another year.  The 2024 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge and Homer Alaska is a new opportunity for me and I am very excited to participate in this awesome event.

Originally I was hoping to ride my Buell in the 2022 HHMC but that didn't happen and since then I have moved up to a new Road Glide Police model for this year's challenge.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in Florida

The first time I heard about HH was around 2013 at the Iron Butt JAX event from Gabe, The Attorney that rides.
