Kurt # 862 is from Parkersburg, IA heard about the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge
before the original 2010 event but the $500,000 prize was a game changer for
him. He felt like that much money was something that was “life changing” and
not too interested. He felt like there were people out there that would do just
about anything for that kind of money and didn’t want to get involved. But in
2014 while riding in AK on his own, his interest was rekindled by a HHMC rider
who told him the focus of things had changed. He loves long distance riding and has
been riding for 45 yrs.
He will ride the HHMC with the attitude that
this is a “marathon” and not a sprint on his 2013 Road King, after riding the
Memorial ride in 2015 and looks forward to the event leaving in June. He has
some bragging rights by riding all 48 in just over 7 days and coast to coast in
under 50 hrs. and looks forward to what 2016 has in store.
