Gary Cooper # 859 of Houston, TX. has had a fascination with
long distance riding for a while but he knew it from the interstate. After
hearing about the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge from friend and fellow rider and new HHMC rider # 856
Daniel Neatherly, Gary felt this was something he wanted to get involved with.
Not only is the ride itself a challenge to the riders motorcycle ability but
the willingness to push their riders to get involved in their own communities
and help others was something Gary really found attractive. He and Daniel are
working together with Renegade Harley Davidson in Alexandria, LA. to do collections and
dealership events to raise funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital promoting
their efforts in the local Thunder Road Magazine. Donations can be made at this paypal link.
Gary is going to test the advice he has received from former
rider #754 Daniel Thibodeaux to expect the unexpected and be prepared for
anything. Endurance, stamina, and good navigation are key to success for the
challenge. He will be riding the Maple colored 2012 CVO Road glide his wife was
able to locate after deciding that was the bike of choice for them for the 2016
event. He has 30 years of riding experience and looks forward to putting that
experience to the test.
