Paco John # 851 became familiar with the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge while sipping
a bloody Mary at a place called Pepper’s 401 sitting next to Dick Rutherford
#781 who had just participated in the HHMC in 2014. When Dick learned Paco was
from Fl. he shared that he had started the HHMC in Key West Fl. heading for
Homer, AK but stopped in Seattle knowing his limitations and he had reached it.
Paco was hooked. Needing to know more he started looking into what he had to do
to ride. Because you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a HHMC rider in Florida,
Paco ended up at lunch with Jeff Kohn #168, Chris Drake #190 and Robert
Saunooke # 814 and learned he needed an American made oil cooled motorcycle so
he will be riding his new 2015 Indian Chieftain.
